Union Minister Kalraj Mishra along with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje launched Centre’s three major social security schemes in the state which were nationally launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kolkata.
These schemes pertaining to insurance and pension –
- Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)
- Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and
- Atal Pension Yojana (APY)- in the state
Hon’ble minister stated that
It is a historical day and shows the central government’s “dedication towards the poor”. The country saw major financial inclusion with Jan Dhan Yojana, under which bank accounts were opened in large numbers in the country. Now the government is launching three major schemes which will benefit people, The schemes will address social security issues and provide dignity to the poor.While PMSBY and PMJJBY will provide insurance cover in case of death or disability due to an accident, APY will address the old-age income security needs, it was told.
